Lunar Breathwork
4-week breathwork practice with the moon cycle, creativity, and community
for healing practitioners, therapists, mental health practitioners, space holders, artists
Beginning on the new moon, we’ll gather for four weeks for an exploration of our breath and the creative process with the guidance from the cycle of the moon’s phases.
THE INTENTION
The purpose of this container is to give ourselves the space each week for four weeks to lean into a breathwork practice while following the inspiration and energy of the moon cycle. What happens when we make time for our inner world, our energy, our breath, and our heart’s intentions while sharing with a small group of other heart-centered breathers?
Why breathwork?
Breathwork is a type of active meditation, embodiment practice, and guided therapy that helps facilitate self-healing. It’s an accessible, approachable, effective, and empowering tool for alchemizing our life’s experiences and for expanding our sense of possibilities and consciousness.
Through a three-part rhythmic breath pattern, the increase of oxygen helps bypass the thinking brain and invites in the space to connect more deeply to your own intuition and wisdom, unblock your creativity, and support you in releasing what’s no longer serving you. Through the breath, you can process emotions, past trauma, and current roadblocks to help you move through life’s transitions with more ease, alignment, clarity, and groundedness.
The breathwork practice is done lying down to a playlist and the facilitator guides you through the journey with prompts, hands-on body support (with consent), essential oils (if not sensitive to scents), and other healing tools. We’ll start the first session with a little intro about what breathwork technique we’ll do together, why it’s beneficial, and what you might experience before we begin the practice.
Why the moon?
The moon is a visual reminder of nature’s phases and cycles, which provides a different, more spiral-inspired view of the passage of time. By following the timing of the moon, we allow ourselves to re-remember our own rhythms and find our own connection to what feels true for us.
The moon has been a witness to the earth for generations and has been revered in many cultures. She is an ever-changing yet ever-constant presence in our sky with a gravitational pull of our water’s tides. Through the embodiment practice of breathwork, we’ll be able to explore our own individual relationship to the moon, the cycles, to nature, and to ourselves.
*If you don’t resonate with the moon, no worries! You can use the creative or growing process as a guide, which we will also lean into throughout the weeks together:
first we start with an idea/plant a seed (new moon)
then we take action/nourish the plant (waxing moon)
next we share the art/enjoy the bloom (full moon)
and finally we release for the next/compost the spent plant matter (waning moon)
And of course, like all things healing and nature, nothing is linear and life is a spiral, so we allow ourselves to be exactly as we are in the spectrum of being human and our breath will meet us there.
So basically, no expectations! Just space for curiosity and a container of community to play/heal/be with.
Why creativity?
In order to build a new matriarchal world, we need imagination and creativity for new systems and structures, so why not start with our own dreams and heart’s desires? Creative expression is one of the most healing tools we have for our bodies, intuition, and life’s story. Art is what will heal us!
You don’t need to consider yourself an artist. Human beings naturally are meaning-makers and we’ll play with the various ways to tap into intuition, intention, meaning, and expression. We’ll use the art of doing and making to help us in the quest of being.

Thoughts from Past Participants:
“As someone new to breathwork, I entered this with an open mind and heart and some nerves. I was almost immediately put at ease by Helen's spirit , warmth, and intention in the space. I felt comfortable and was so impressed by all of the thought, small touches, and openness that I experienced the first night and beyond. This experience was healing, connecting, and profound for me.”
“The experience was amazing! SO healing in more ways than I could have imagined. The music with the guidance was well thought out. LOVED every minute of it! Helen's gift of leading a group like this is magic! Highly recommend!”
“This incredible practice with Helen has gotten me to access parts of myself in ways I could have never imagined. I personally felt some discomfort or awkwardness at times, but the outcome was above and beyond worth it each time. Being able to experience bliss, and presence in a way I haven't before. I highly recommend this practice with Helen!”
“By the end of the moon cycle breathwork I was transformed, and it added to a new level of healing. I loved being with the group of grounded, heart centered women in a beautiful space. I figured out what would work for me in terms of how to do the breathwork. Helen was the most wonderful facilitator. Warm, funny, engaging, encouraging, and one of the most delightful person I’ve met recently. I really enjoyed the hands-on touch aspect that added so much for me to be able to connect at a deeper level with my body. I would recommend that anyone take this workshop if they are seeking to deepen their understanding of themselves connection to their body and the universe. I was honored to be welcomed into this group.”
“Moon Cycle Breathwork is an ideal way to connect to and heal through your body - especially in these post-pandemic times when many of us experienced and/or continue to experience lung + grief issues physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. Helen's capacity to create a container and hold space for a sustained period of time allows participants to surrender fully into their unique experience while feeling held by the group. Her attunement to the group + individual needs is highly intuitive and provides extra safety and comfort through the breathing process. The breathing prompts + invitations given were a sweet yet powerful guide. Hands-on touch and essential oils provided a sense of support at the right time too. And Helen's playlists are always moving + magical. She is an artist of this healing modality in every way. The cumulative impact of doing four consistent weeks of breathwork gave me a new awareness of what my body needs during each phase of the moon, and also helped to release lung and body stagnation that wasn't able to fully release with one-off sessions. I'm now a fan of weekly /consistent group breathwork as one of my most important healing modalities.”
“...It was a truly beautiful and grounding experience. The session was thoughtfully centered around the phases of the moon, which added a gentle, reflective rhythm to the entire class. Helen is an exceptional breathwork coach—encouraging, supportive, and deeply attuned to the energy of the group. She guided us through both active and restful breathing practices with clarity and care, creating a space where everyone felt comfortable exploring their own experience. I also loved the opening share with tarot and oracle cards, which offered a lovely invitation to set intentions. With a group of around eight people, it felt intimate yet spacious.”
